  • Is there shopping nearby?

  • What seasonal events draw visitors to Like Winnipesaukee?

There are many annual events that occur throughout the Sprint to Fall season.

The declaration of "Ice Out" welcomes a host of fishing tournaments.  Ames Farm Inn does not host tournaments, but we welcome the return of Bass, Salmon and Trout fishermen each Spring and Fall. We have extremely easy access to the Lake with our 22 boat slips and 2 boat launches - available only for lodging guests.

There are a number of Craft Fairs (Alton, Meredith, Gunstock) in the Lakes Region. Picture yourself relaxing on our private beach after a day of walking through the craft fairs.

Motorcycle Bike Week is an annual tradition. We gladly host those guests who like to be adjacent to the Bike Week events but prefer the family-oriented environment at Ames Farm.

For those who prefer to stay closer to the action, we just are a short bike ride to enjoy a breakfast sandwich, steak and eggs or large stack of pancakes. The ride is definitely worth it, and you cannot beat the view.

A number of Fall festivities will keep you coming back to the Lakes Region. Beans and Greens maintain a host of activities and an outside craft beer venue. Apple orchards and numerous farms ensure an apple cider doughnut; hayride excursion or pumpkin inspired desserts are ready when you are. Prescott Farm is always encouraging young and old to partake in their agricultural and outdoor experiences.

Car shows, sailing races and boat/kayak rentals are additional activities both locals and visitors enjoy.
