Can returning guests reserve the same cottage each year?
Yes. Many families keep the same cottage and week across generations. Booking early, starting in January, helps preserve your family’s tradition.
Do families really return for generations?
They do. Some families are now in their third or fourth generation of summer stays, and we’re honored to be part of their lakeside story.
Can I book a cottage for next summer?
Guest from this year have until January 15th to rebook for next year. After that we begin taking new reservations. Click here if you’d like to be added to our waiting list.
When is the best time to book a stay?
Most families begin planning in January for summer availability. Weekly cottages fill quickly, especially for guests keeping their traditional week.
What should we pack?
Comfortable clothing, swimsuits, beach towels, sunscreen, light layers, and your favorite books or board games. Life at Ames Farm Inn is simple and relaxed. Some guests also like to pack beach chairs and grills.
Are linens and towels provided?
Yes. We provide bed linens and towels in all accommodations. While we don’t offer daily housekeeping, guests can request fresh linens or towels anytime. Just stop by the store or let us know, and we’ll deliver them to your door.
What is provided in the accommodations?
Each accommodation is thoughtfully stocked with essentials to make your stay comfortable:
- Kitchen: Cookware, pots and pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, trash bags, and dish soap.
- Bathroom: Toilet paper, Sawyer Farm solid shampoo/soap bar, and hair dryer.
- Additional: Irons are available upon request at the office/store.
